Temporary Fund Holding Policy

1. Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to clarify how contributions to a child's Fund My Future account are held prior to investment execution, ensuring transparency, security, and regulatory compliance.

2. Custody of Funds

All contributions made to a child's Fund My Future account are held in a regulated custodial account. At no time are these funds held directly by Fund My Future.

3. Temporary Holding Period

Prior to executing investments, contributions may remain in a cash or FDIC-insured money market account to ensure safety. While funds are in the holding period:

  • Contributions are credited immediately to the child's account ledger, so account balances are visible in real time.
  • The platform may use investment preferences provided by the user (e.g., selected top choices) as guidance, but Fund My Future retains discretion over the timing and exact execution of trades.
  • This temporary holding allows for efficient batch investing, reducing fees and ensuring responsible management of contributions.

4. Investment Execution

  • Investments will be executed once the platform is fully operational and ready to manage trades.
  • The timing of investment may vary, and users should understand that funds may remain in the custodial account until execution.
  • Users will be notified of their account balances and investment activity via the Fund My Future platform.

5. User Expectations

By contributing funds:

  • Users acknowledge that contributions may be held temporarily in a secure custodial account.
  • Users understand that investment preferences are non-binding guidance, and the platform may execute trades differently.
  • Users trust Fund My Future to manage contributions safely and responsibly until investment occurs.

6. Compliance Statement

Fund My Future is committed to regulatory compliance. All contributions are held in accordance with applicable banking, brokerage, and custodial regulations. Fund My Future does not take custody of user funds and operates only as the authorized agent for investment instructions.
